This was a typography level one assignment. The goal was to create a magazine layout from an article of our choice. I took the assignment as an opportunity to visually test Amazon Prime Sustainable, idea I had been sitting on. In addition to the magazine layout (typography) I was trying to capture a style and color palette that would entice a conversation. Something from Amazon that was familiar while incorporating something new. Color, assets, marketing as a translation and positioning of […]
For the past few months I’ve been sitting on a visual design concept that allows me to track progress of my health. Specifically lesions on my brain and spinal cord in relation to symptoms. The 3D visual of the design concept was taken from Microsoft Garage Project InnerEye. An artificial intelligence tool that uses machine learning and computer vision to allow radiologists to make cancer treatment more targeted and effective. In addition to the visual component of the design, the application […]

This was my first design. Rich Soil Bank. The concept was a retail bank that operated on the basis of functions instead of rights. The design framework was biomimicry. Could a bank operate on the cellular level that life does? 2011 – 2014. I got a few things right and a lot of things I didn’t. And that’s okay. What I learned from this personal project was project management. That as a designer you have to consider business model and engineering constraints. […]
This was a concept I came up with in 2011 when staying at Hotel Andez near Wall Street. It’s call Wealth Bar. The concept was taken from Apple’s Genius Bar where the company emulates Jobs’ passion for putting customers first. Design tools used were Illustrator in 2018 above and hand sketching in 2011 below. “And the more time customers spend in the branches, with the bankers in an “advisory role,” the more likely customers are to sign up for […]
Website for streamlining processes. The company I worked for at the time had no computer or internet in the office before I join the company. As I slowly changed things (remodeled the office and set up a computer) I later inquired with management about bringing other people onboard to let me focus on big picture items. Transfer work from the CEO to me. I also approached management about having an online presence for recruiting and efficiency. Out of the phone calls made […]
Bare’ is biomimetic bra. Different than biometrics as you’re not collecting data. The design mimics the antagonistic muscle structure for a better support and lymph/ fascia movement as the breasts sit on top of the muscle and move in a figure-8 motion, and lymph (stored toxins in the body) are milked passively through muscle movement. One theory behind breast cancer is that the bra under-wire restricts the function of muscle moment to drain lymph. “Fascia is a thin layer of connective tissue that […]
Gentleman’s Emoji Set I like the idea of Kimoji’s (animated emojis that move) but have yet to find one that I would use. I wanted something more refined- poised and subtle yet distinctive and sure. I often send mono answers to friends; ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘?’. I would buy a emoji set like this. *Adjusts neck tie* I’m sure.
